Representatives Attended SIETAC “Energy Transaction Risk Prevention and Dispute Resolution Seminar“
Ms.Zhu Hongwen, Senior Partner of Sunshine Law Firm and also department head ofInternational Practice, attended Energy Transaction Risk Prevention and DisputeResolution Seminar jointly held by Shanghai International Economic and TradeArbitration Commission (Shanghai International Arbitration Center) and ShanghaiBar Association’s Energy & Environment Law Study Committee together with MaximePeltier, Senior Counsel of Sunshine’s Shanghai office on November 2 nd .
Theseminar was presided by Huang Wen, deputy secretary general of ShanghaiInternational Arbitration Center. Shanghai International Energy ExchangeCorporation’s legal expert Wu Qingbao, Shanghai International ArbitrationCenter’s deputy secretary general Wu Rongliang and Shanghai International Arbitration Center’sBelgian arbitrator Guy Block delivered speeches separately and discussedprofessional issues on dispute resolution of energy transactions.
Duringdiscussion, Ms. Zhu Hongwen shared experience of overseas energy transactionson investment risk prevention, contract terms drafting and other aspects, andemphasized issues on investors should pay attention on whether host country’sgovernment department have passed required legal procedure when signing letterof guarantee or similar legal documents.
